![]() Now I'm back to just using my original watch 4 classic without the LTE. I gave up, returned the watch 4 classic LTE watch, just got email from Samsung my return is successful so I'll get my $411 back. I think Samsung is wrong about the stand-alone issue because the new T-Mobile rep said I need a phone plan as well. Couldn't make or receive calls, wouldn't even search for a network. I then went to T-Mobile to set it up as its own stand-alone plan, (was told by Samsung techs and T-Mobile techs it would work fine), it didn't. Finally got a very nice agent who cancelled my watch plan and refunded the $14.33 they took for prorated month and following month, not sure why they felt they needed to charge me in advance for the next month, but regardless I got my money back. Of course Metro had no clue what was wrong with it, had me reset it 4 times between 6 different agents. I could make calls if away from my phone but I couldn't receive calls or messages. Received the new watch 3 days later, thought it should be no problem activating it on Metro, wrong again. I returned the watch 5 and purchased the watch 4 classic LTE same day. Unbelievably, I got Samsung to let me return the watch 5 as defective since metro somehow screwed it up and labeled it as a tablet instead of a watch, their excuse not mine. So after 2 months of trying to activate a galaxy watch 5 pro LTE on metro I find they only go up to the watch 4 classic LTE. Supervisor said they are working to figure out why watches are overheating and getting the esim working right before they launch but hopefully the launch will be in the middle of September 2022 He said he would be upset as well had it happened to him but assured me they were working on adding smart watches. He came back and immediately apologized after I told him I just spent $470 for the new watch 5 LTE. I asked for a supervisor and told them, before I got to mad, to read the notes from earlier. ![]() So I ordered it from Samsung, selected pick up at Best Buy and an hour later I was heading home with my new watchįast forward 15 minutes and I'm on the phone with metro again only to be told they aren't activating watches at this time and the girl I talked to earlier was misinformed. I call metro to make sure before I bought the LTE version and the girl I talked to said oh yes we can activate the new Samsung Galaxy watch 5 pro LTE. Not true anymore, at least not at this time.
